Hoka Mach X 2's midsole is constructed with PEBA foam, which is a market leader in responsiveness. The foam provides high energy return and good cushioning. Embedded in the foam is a Pebax plate (on the same principle as a carbon plate), which further supports propulsion by adding an extra dimension of responsiveness and efficiency.
