The Hoka Challenger ATR 7 is a versatile trail shoe that works very well as a hybrid shoe, where you run from one surface to another. In this 7th edition of the shoe, the weight is still kept down, which makes the shoe more usable at different distances. With an updated HOKA CMEVA midsole material, you get a shoe that ensures good stability in the terrain, but at the same time provides high shock absorption when you hit firmer ground. The outsole has reinforced areas with Zonal rubber. The outsole is made with 4mm studs that provide a good but not overly aggressive grip on the surface. Hoka is working on more sustainable production, which is why this version is also made with recycled Unifi REPREVE® yarn in the upper. On this 7th version of the shoe, an extension of the heel cap has also been made, for extra comfort and protection of the Achilles tendon.
